Dave was born through normal spontaneous delivery on August 26, 1994 in Batangas City. The mother disappeared immediately after birth prompting the biological father to surrender the child because he was not capable of providing for the needs of a special child, considering his children with his real wife. Dave, who was severely malnourished, was diagnosed with the so-called lymphadenopathy characterized by enlargement of the lymphnodes particularly on his right frontarricular area (behind the ears).

He was referred to Chosen Children where he was admitted on March 26, 1996. Upon admission, Dave was pale and weak. He weighed 7.8 kilogram and measured 29 inches with a head circumference of 19 inches. He was immediately brought to the Makati Medical Center for medical attention and was prescribed with proper medication.
