Emma was found inside a box by two tricycle drivers in Taguig, Metro Manila on July 9, 1990. She was turned over to the social welfare system and while there had an operation for nasal meningocele.

Emma was referred to and admitted to Chosen Children on December 18, 1990. Upon admission, she weighed 13.5 pounds, measured 23 inches in height and had a head circumference of 15.5 inches. Emma sleeps soundly at night but wakes up and cries when she is wet and hungry. She sleeps most of the time. The Declaration of Abandonment pertinent to Emma is presently being process.

CHOSEN CHILDREN VILLAGE FOUNDATION is maintained solely through donations, sponsorships and grants and has a Board of Trustees whose members serve without compensation.
