Oliver was a 10 month old baby referred to Chosen Children by an orphanage in Malabon on January 27, 1997. He was born through normal spontaneous delivery with the so-called sepsis or infection of the umbilical cord. Oliver was also diagnosed to be hydrocephalic with mild cerebral palsy.

According to his child study report Oliver was born with a twin brother who was normal. His mother reportedly left with his normal brother and abandoned Oliver at the hospital. The case was referred to the police authorities who went to the address given by the mother at the hospital but they were told that she already left for the province and did not leave an address. All channels were exhausted to locate the mother but to no avail. Because of his handicap he was turned over to the sisters of the said orphanage who later referred him to Chosen Children for proper case management and medical attention.

CHOSEN CHILDREN VILLAGE FOUNDATION is maintained solely through donations, sponsorships and grants and has a Board of Trustees whose members serve without compensation.
